After reading RAVE a little, I disconnected each sensor 1 at a time. (MAF, AAP and MAP)

With the MAF disconnected the engine performance wash delayed is the best way i can think to describe it.

With the AAP disconnected the car was much more responsive and was able to rev over 3000 RMP, at 4000 RPM the boost fluctuation was much less aggressive. - Contradicting sierrafery the boost isn't limited to 1 bar as RAVE suggests.

With the MAP disconnected the car ran like a slug. Limp home mode sort of.

I do have a Nanocom and the AAP reading is 100 like you suggest, not sure i'm at sea level though, i'd be closeish.

The boost gauge is pre-intercooler. In the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler. In the vac (boost in this case) hose between the bottom of the boost modulator valve and said pipe.

Especially that you have nanocom IMO you should have got a ''ambient pressure .... '' fault code for failed AAP or not see any drop on it under load only steady 100 reading, dont you get that fault code now after you drove it with AAP unplugged?... you said you disconnected sensors one by one, if after driving it with each sensor unplugged there wasn't a specific fault code stored for that IMO the ECU is fubar'd and maybe that's your problem... btw, how much was the boost with AAP unplugged?...though as long as the wastegate modulator is disconnected this boost limitation might not work as it should cos it's managed through it

I got a specific error code for each sensor I unplugged. I then cleared the error reconnected that sensor and disconnected the next. The wastegate modulator was reconnected after I replaced it therefore was connected during all this testing. Also the MAF is only about 20,000 kms old and is VDO.

I was getting a steady 100 reading from the AAP, but wasn't sure what it was meant to be.

I was getting up to 1.4 bar reading on Nanocom approx. 22 PSI on the boost gauge.

OK fitted my new AAP sensor I got from Roverlord.

Went for a drive and at first it behaved the same with the boost surges. Boost was limited to 1 bar. Fault code on Nanocom "turbocharger over boost" This is the first time I've had this fault EVER.

Backed off boost, cleared error code went for a drive. Got same fault but surging less violent. Backed boost off some more and cleared fault.

Went for a drive. No surging. "Air speed high fault" error.

Cleared error. Went for a drive but no full throttle. No error.

Also noticed the AAP is giving a reading of about 102 now.

Test drive a few times 60 to 100 km/h hard acceleration.

With remap EGT 800-850 boost 21 PSI
Factory map EGT 650-720 boost 17 PSI

Currently loaded is the factory map until I speak with remap provider. I get the impression that the EGT probe being directly before the turbo is not allowing me to compare apples with apples. I suspect most people have their EGT probe after the turbo. How much temp difference this would make is a great question. Is 150 degrees more temp unexpected from a remap compared to factory? Probably not hence why everyone with a remap runs an EGT gauge. Will I move the EGT probe after the turbo to check my theory? Maybe - but not in a great hurry.

That steady 100 AAP was with both sensor connected and disconnected? didnt you see any drop on it under high revs?

just saw your new reply... see how much the AAP is dropping under hard acceleration, that's important, also how many threads you have left out on the wastegate rod?...IMO the EGT is too high with the remap, should be below 800

Jazzman, don't move the EGT probe. It is meant to be before the turbo.

Nissota drivers seem to like fitting them post turbo :confused:

My EGT probe is pre-turbo and I can get over 750*C doing a full throttle in 4th (Mines a manual) 60 to 100kph. This is not a factory map, but I still have the factory intercooler, wastegate has been adjusted.

As you say , you will need to talk to your re-map supplier, you may be able to get lower egt with a bigger intercooler , using a dual maf / map trick box aka irb , and raising boost ( or building your own ) . your probe should stay where it is . also be aware you will have pressure drop across intercooler so better to take your comparison readings from nanocom (map readings ) to compare apples with apples,. Also the stuttering can happen when it's getting close to over boost without logging a fault. Lengthening the rod half to three quarters of a turn usually sorts this out .You need to also make sure that the aap reading drops under acceleration so you know that side of things are working correctly.
