    D2a fluttering when slowing down

    Hi all.

When slowong down from 60ks or more, there is a strange fluttering almost clanking noise underneath. Any ideas what it may be?

Check your front drive shaft asap, if not sooner. Expensive if it lets go.

Can you hear a squeaking noise? Usually the drive shaft as mentioned

If it`s a upgraded t/shaft it could well be that hidden grease nipple for the D/C ball that needs grease.
Honestly drop the front shaft it is the only way to find it and also grease it if it has one

Thanks for the tips - I was leaning that way myself. With work at the moment haven't had a chance other than crawling under to have a quick look.
Couldn't see or feem any grease nipples, so assume it is original prop. No slack or visible signs of rubbing or wear. Will find out later this week.

Thank you for the helpful replies. Was the front driveshaft - the cardan joint was well past its best. All better now - the missus is even happy driving it again...
