i'm affraid you'll need to replace the BCU, it can bew the cause of the lazy indicator too, it can suffer from water ingress or moisture or just fail, check this out http://www.aulro.com/afvb/2368242-post9.html
My 2000 D2 V8 seems to dislike mornings.
I can't unlock the doors using the key fob first thing in the morning and have to unlock using the key. I can then lock and unlock using the key fob without a problem. It's just that first unlock it doesn't like. I have replaced the battery in the fob without any difference. It's fine the rest of the day. It can stand outside work for 10 hours during the day and unlocks fine.
The left hand indicator takes about 20 seconds before it decide to start blinking the first time I use it in the mornings. Next time might be a bit quicker - say 10 seconds, but not always. After using it a few times, it works fine until the next morning.
Anyone have any ideas?
On a separate note, although it should possibly have a different post, but I'm on a roll... When I use the aircon, i notice a trickle of moisture in the driver's footwell. Is this just condensation or likely to be something else?

Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
Hi
Your water ingress from the A/C is more than likely caused by blocked drainage pipes. Its common.
You need to crawl under the car with a torch and look up at each side of the bell housing near the fire wall, you'll see a black rubber nipple on each side.
Squeeze each one...... and await a gush of water. Move out of the way as quickly as possible, without banging your head on something.
Cheers, Jerry
