Can not remove single slot cd player

Hi, I'm really struggling to remove the single slot cd player from my D2a. Its the one with release holes in each corner. Can not find any guide on doing this, they're all for the tape deck version. It's usually a simple process with these.

Got 4 thin screw drivers in each slot (also tried skewers), can definitely feel them push on the release tags, but radi is absolutely stuck. In fact the entire facia trim gets pulled forward slightly and I'm afraid to break it witt any more force. Radio is stuck solid. Any ideas?

    Cheers

Actually it seems to be original fitment, see below.

I eventually got it out, with a lot of wiggling, it was a tight fit.

They are a Eurovox unit. You can get the tool from the company that took over Eurovox in Melbourne.
I was able to get mine out with a selection of screwdrivers, but the tools have a notch at the end to engage the tangs on the springs that hold the unit in.

If you like PM me and I can take a photo of the locks as I still have unit in the garage.

I have attached 2 photos of teh locks, one with a long thin screwdriver in one lock.
You have to do both locks on one side together and then pull that side out a bit then ditto on the other side.
You also have to press outward son the rods to depress the catch .Attachment 102809
