    New Disco Owner

    Hi All,

Long term lurker and have had some early Landrovers in the past.

    Here is my new purchase.

    2003 Disco 2a TD5 Auto

It does have a bucket load of KMS (345k kms) But drives surprisingly well.

I have only done about 200 kms, but it didn't miss a beat. Well it did actually, it loses power sometimes.
Also there is a smell of oil on the exhaust.

Its heading off to LR Mech tomorrow. Not being a Melbourne person has caused me a lot of confusion on who to send it too.......

Then in mid January will drive it back to the NT.

Need to find bull bar etc for it.

    Hello ntguy,

Well done and silver is a great colour.

The TD5 is very economical given what its pulling, oil and fuel leaks an issue though but all fixes are on this site......a well worn path.

It'll be a great drive from Melbourne to NT.

    All the best,

    Jerry

I keep telling you lot , it has to be Epson green.
    Welcome to the club Ntguy.
Check the gasket on the oil pipe on the front of the turbo that's where mine was leaking and it could also be a loose oil filter.
