    TD5 engine replacement

I would like to thank all the members on here who have helped me out with the recent replacement of my TD5 engine after the oil pump bolt let go.
I was stupid enough to think the a fifteen year old motor would have had the bolt done. What an expensive and stupid assumption.
Anyone here who has bought a second hand td5; Just spend fifty bucks and get a new sump gasket and FIX YOUR BOLT.
It was quite a big job to do on my own as I am no mechanic.
I had a lot of help on the phone from Gordon Cutthill from Hunter & Cutthill in Geelong and also thanks to Craig (discorevy).
Thanks Craig; the gearbox took a full five litres. Glad I did not drive it too far.
It now has a much younger motor (150.000)kms. and is going really well so far.
Cheers all Nick. And happy Christmas
