    04 TD5 HSE power window fuse blowing

    Just picked up our new to us D2A HSE

    Young guy who owned it was a Landrover dealer mechanic great and did a full fluids change for me while I watched.

    All round , fantastic car and fantastic owner.

    The only thing he overlooked to tell me was that the front windows fuse keeps blowing , even if the windows aren't used.

    It was blown when I first drove off and went back to ask if it was something I was doing wrong.He replaced the 30 amp fuse.

    He did suggest that it could be a broken wire in the strap between the body and door and gave me 3 fuses.

    Just driving home for 40 minutes , it blew again

    No biggie , I like working out and fixing things and our forum is fantastic resource.

    So , any ideas team?

    I haven't pulled off the kick panel or the door trim yet!

    I had a wire rub on dash metal near bcu behind glove box for mine harness had come away from clip

    Is this a Burgundy one?? Pretty rare beast.

    Back to the windows, has to be a short some where. Not sure if you can disconnect each door and work it out that way

    its just I cant find any fuses for windows in RAVE,,
    I wonder if its marked in the actual fuse box,,

    nt- Yep , its an Alveston Red with Black leather interior.Love it

    Back in 06 we had an 04 TD5 auto Town classic. I think it was Rioja Red. We really missed it which is how we ended up here.

    This is the one from Gumtree.

    It's not perfect and has some of the usual D2 and TD5 auto stuff going on but Im happy to put a few hrs and $ in to make it right.

    That should be easy with the help of the crew here

    Fuse 34 is a 30 amp fuse that is blowing

    34 is the BCU fuse.....
    how does the car run with a blown BCU fuse??
    so its maybe not the windows--
    wheres Sierra when you need him!!

    +1 for what Pedro sais... the question is that F34 blows only on windows operation or on it's own?
