    Roof Rail Extension

Say this today on a Disco 2 at a caravan park here in Coff's. Used a cut down second set of roof rails to extend them full length of the vehicle (hope it's clear in the picture). Basically cut the front curve off and attached it to the back of the first roof rail. Would still sit under a full length roof rack too.

I've never seen it done before, so not sure what the owner is thinking - going to try and drop in for a chat with him tomorrow.

I have the same set on my td5.
That photo is the first time I have ever seen another LR with the same set up.

As mentioned they are factory option but seem quite rare.
    Regards Nick.
They have cross bars that fit between of course.

Pity they are no longer available new - I have them and they're great:

    Lightweight, strong and low profile.

Well there you go. Never seen it before.

Looks a bit bodgy, this one, so assumed it was a home job

They look great and seem to make the vehicle look longer.

You'll find them on ebay from time to time.
