    D2a 4.0 V8- what's this bolt?

    hi,

    does anyone know what this bolt is for (in the red circle)? I found it loose the other day, but nothing leaking. No mention of it in RAVE

    On the D2 that I wrecked one of the engine oil cooler pipes went in there. The other pipe went in the side of the cover above the oil filter mount. So, if your plug fell out it could get messy...

    Interesting thanks, it was very loose, I olny just happened to noticr it as I was lying under the car pondering. (is it just me who does that?). Surprised nothing was coming out, there was definitely some oil still in the engine

    I need to search for that other hole you mentioned to answer part of my other thread

    anyone know what year that is?
