    New to Group - Hi

    Hello to all.

Just thought I would say hi and throw out the obligatory questions.

I will soon be the owner of a TD5 D2, handed down by my father as he doesn't use it anymore. Has about 230K klms on it, but as I can see, runs pretty well and is pretty straight body wise.

The car is fitted with factory bull bar and tow bar, cargo barrier and snorkel. It will be used for mild 4x4 access to camping areas in the NT towing a quad for the hard yards.

I am considering the following additions/upgrades

2 inch lift - heavy duty rear - (billstein?)
    Tyres - higher profile
dual batteries - with Anderson input for solar charging (engine bay or rear?)
    led bars - front and back(reverse) - (osram 20inch bar - 300$ - 23000 lumens from BAP?)
    cb radio and stereo upgrade
window seals - turning into black powder
seat covers (sheepskins front - advice welcome)
    rubber floor mats (advice welcome)

If there is an easy 1 stop post that covers off on some or all of this type of stuff - i'll be happy for the direction.

    Cheers
    Hogster

Welcome Hogster. I'd run the 2nd battery in the engine bay. There's a guy here who makes the dual trays so you can wack 2 Optimas together side by side in the same spot that your single batt is sitting now.

Also if you are planning to add a winch, I'd consider some HD shocks and springs for front as well..

Welcome ! If you are only doing mild 4wd I would stick to standard height but HD springs to match your load and bar etc.

Definitely taller tyres though - 245 75 16 or 235 85 16 do not rub at all on standard height.

I woul add on board air compressor to your list. An ARB fit nicely under the drivers seat if you don't have the CD changer there.

    Have fun!
    Cheers
