Dave. You over complicated things a bit

If you can't remember that the two outer ones at each end are larger than the rest, I reckon it is time to hang up the spanners.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

    tell you what...

when you come across the one odd bod one thats been put in differently in an area where you cant see it and arent expecting it on a routine job youve done a million times before...

wait till you get to the point when somones gone and tapped in a UNC/UNF because thats what they had when they did the job.

    KISS...

when other people KISS it makes my life easy, my life being easy means more hammock time and beer time or more time to help others and post on AULRO...

Makes good sense when you are working on someone else's car.

But what we are talking about in this thread is someone doing his own car and when the day comes that someone else does it, he won't own it.

So when the time comes to do my own(soon) I am not going to make extra work for myself by having to drill and tap every one of them and I am guessing there would be ten, if I only need to do four.

And that, ladies and gentlemen is in the catagory of "root cause"

Why should I spend an hour doing completely what I can get away with doing just enough in 20 minutes?

    lets try it this way..

why should I spend all the time and effort to goto the full detail of all the tech posts I do when I could just dot point it or instead of only answering the very specific question that was asked about "what does this acronym mean" by giving just the description of the acronym that was identified as opposed to also providing all the other ones that could be in the same area?
