Just happened to be browsing Facebook marketplace and found this pair, manifold has been dewebed and skimed flat. ( I have 3 broken studs)

Maiden voyage on the weekend with the kids. Went to Howqua Valley Resort - about an hour from home. Van towed well. Disco purred along as usual.

Thought I was going well until I got passed by a Mitsubishi Triton towing a van twice the size of ours

What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

. I drive by the EGT though and don't like to push it higher than 650. Was sitting at about 75kph up a decent climb and about 590 Celsius on the guage. Happy with that.

Does my ass look big towing this van?

Mine has an auto in it at long last! Just needs the oil pump bolt and service done and home he comes! Dave (TT) says that he is surprised by how well it drives. Darn, I am driving to Adelaide this week. Wish I could do it in the D2. Never mind, maybe I'll just go again. There will be a heap to do on it anyway.

Also, I'll get to plug my Nanocom into my own car instead of other people's. I've had it for two years, and it has never seen my D2.

Sigh. What a saga.

Now, does anyone have a Blenheim Silver RHR door? Bare is fine.

Yesterday was a morning trip to Launceston to pick up parts for my little brother's new TDi300 Disco, but also while there grabbed some new bits for me.
i now have a good double cardon driveshaft so I have taken diff lock out and I'm back in 4wd!
Also now have nice Rhino roof bars and an awning...old roof bars sold to little bro.
TJM bull bar isin my yard waiting to be fitted tomorrow and the wombat crunched front bar is taken off.
Safari snorkel is waiting to go on so I won't be vacuuming dirt out of my air box every 2 months...
im looking for a half decent priced winch to go on it now.

I not so fun news, the small diesel leak is confirmed as the fuel pressure regulator, and in the last few days it has gone to about 2 drips a second...fuel gauge dropped a lot more than it should have today!
This trumps the new ABS sensor I need, and it also gets in front of the winch and VDO gauges I was going to fit...I'll be ordering one in the morning!
