I’m hearing 12-16 litres on the D4 and about 10 on the D2
Not cheap especially for LG6 but a lot cheaper than a rebuilt transmission.

I gave the back end (where the brushes live) of the alternator a good soaking in contact cleaner and I am now getting 14.2V.
The alternator copped a fair bit of coolant spillage over it when I had overheating problems prior to having the engine fixed and I do a lot of dirt road driving maybe it could also have been dust on the contacts So I am hoping that it is just a case of dirty contacts and the contact cleaner has done the job.
I know I am clutching at straws here But it was worth a try So I will see how it goes for now and I have the new brushes coming anyway if the quick cleanup isn't the answer.
OK I have attached a couple of photos.Quote:
Would you have a pic of your oil separator installation as i’m planning to install one of that type. The compact size gives more mounting options than the other larger common Provent choice without compromising efficiencyhttps://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/im...2017/04/59.jpg
There are threaded holes in the mudguard , and you can mount the separator by just bending a couple of bits of steel strap and drilling holes in the appropriate places.
I put some nylon braided hose on the bottom with a ball valve down on the chassis.
