I wonder what happened to D2lee who started this thread.
He was not happy and having problems but the thread has really "morphed" inro a what I did to my D2 today.
D2lee are you there mate?
Regards Philip A
It didn’t happen today, but some low life has stolen the removable parts of the tow bar from my D2 - OE tongue with ball, the pin and the split pin :bat: .....hope they cut themselves on the split pin as it was modified after getting bent out of shape....
Most cranky about not having the nice shin guard cover it had any more...
I remember you saying quite a while ago you'd been getting good reports on them.
I was more than happy with the $ I paid too, $100 less/tyre than an equivalent Pirelli ATR Plus isn't to be sneezed at.
Sumitomo know how to make tyres, Japanese Dunlop race tyres were so far superior to English Dunlops it wasnt funny.
More consistent, better QC, better compounds, superior construction.
The only thing they shared was the branding.
Only post Fukushima! (sp?)
Had a mishap the other day and nearly lost a rear wheel going around a roundabout. The wheel nuts had come lose I had sheared one wheel stud off completely and bent two other. Managed to limp home. So replaced the wheel studs today and replaced all the locking wheel nuts with normal ones something I'd been meaning to do for a while.
Interestingly they don't list wheel studs for Discovery 2 but thanks to Mario from Roverlord was told P38 were the same and easily available thankfully
I like the wildpeaks that are on my D2 also. I find them great on road and I have absolutely no issues with them off road. By memory they’re about 3 years old with loads of tread left. It’ll be sad to see them go when we sell the D2 soon.
It’s also a shame they don’t come in 255 55 19 for the 2013 D4 we got last week. Sad face.
