bought filters (air, oil, cent oil, fuel) and 10 lt oil... and had a yarn to the bloke at the landy place bout checking diff and trans fluids before the trip begins next wed....

prolly should have done this stuff sooner, but iim a little busy at the mo...

replaced rear pads,, only half worn, but somethings funny back there so a bit of a stopgap till after this weekend,

Turns out that the sender wasn't connected properly. Seems I didn't connect it properly when I replaced the cam plug a couple of weeks ago.

Always awesome when it turns out to be something simple like that

As it happens who ever installed the sender plug put it so the wire clip pulls towards the engine block instead of away from it. It made it difficult for the 1st time user to notice it. Another mechanical skill learnt thanks to Land Rover.

How long do u need to own a Land Rover before ur a fully qualified mechanic?

I believe a standard light vehicle mechanics apprenticeship is 4 years?
