Would be good to know the cause of the fire so the rest of us can do a search for the fault.

Lots of self-styled experts do their own (or someone else's) wiring work. I've seen quite a few that wouldn't have been far from that result!

I have problems with my heated seats and while I was tried to find out what could be the solution I have found on the net that it also could couse fire.
Some mates recommends even remove relays in case of any problem with heating elements (or change them to new) as damaged circuits can cose fire.

Swapped the 255.55x18s for 245.75x16 today. The steering and handling have lost their crispness but overall it still handles more than adequately. The ride is vastly improved particularly in the rear with SLS and ACE.
Previously when the GPS showed 100 the speedo indicated a needle width above 100, now at the same GPS display the speedo reads 105.
Overall I'm pleased with the 16s.

What size are you running, Pedro?
That's a pretty decent photo, taken and posted from my phone.

I've been seriously thinking of going the other way Ian.

After driving a Deefer for years that was compromised more toward off than on road I've enjoyed the on road prowess of the D2.
