    Relay(?) click from disconnected Compressor

at Xmas the RH rear airbag went to fully blown up... then a week later it BLEW UP!
the mechanic could not work out what happened, so we changed to springs... now there is yet another dashlight... & there was beeping, so unplugged the height sensors (the wee thingees on swingarm) which seemed to fix that, plus the relay & fuse were removed...
At Easter (while sleeping in a tent near car) I noticed a 'click' noise (like a relay) about every 10mins, & eventually worked out it was coming from the compressor area (LHS below rear door), which was odd considering the fuses had been removed.

Do you have any idea what is the cause & how to stop it?
I sure did love the airbag suspension, but noone seemed to know how to fix it.

You might get better results if you post in the correct forum. This is the SII and SIIa forum.

What's happening is the computers are looking to inflate the airbags.
If left it will flatten the battery.
The fix is easy though, the computer needs to tell the Disco it now has coil springs.
It will need someone to connect a Nanocom or similar to reset this.
A search in the Electronic subforum will find a members list with folk willing to help.

I'll ask for this thread to get moved to the Discovery2 area.
This section is for the old school serries with no computers, let alone airbags.
    Cheers, Kyle

did you throw out the baby with the bathwater?

The good news is if you revert back to air I'm fairly certain we can fix it.

as for that other thing, Mr Alien is usually on the money..

I will take it down to Barry to get the computer changed.
This section is for the old school series with no computers, let alone airbags.
when they were real, & simple... the best are! I also ride a 69 Vespa... nice & simple!

If someone could work out what went wrong with them, them I will happily use them again.

drove from Melb to Syd (ocean rd) at Xmas, noticed that RH rear seemed higher, & handling while passing was a bit interesting (light in the arse & oversteer whenever on the RHS of road) but thought nothing of it.
LH rear seemed to be at a 'normal' height
once back noticed RH rear was REALLY high, was partner was heading to see Barry (Deacon Automotive) & BOOOOMMM... RH rear airbag blew!
He replaced compressor assy & fusebox (car was from beach house in QLD & has some rust on bolth etc).
He could not find the cause, so we changed to springs.
I had a quick look at the wiring & noticed green/corrosion on one of the height sensors, otherwise no fault found.
