Thread: ACE Pump - Self Priming?

Question ACE Pump - Self Priming?

Have just replaced the ACE pump after a minor mishap but all seems good now.

Quick question - will it self-prime (not sure if that's the right terminology) or do I need to do anything to get the fluid running through it again?

I have topped up the reservoir and when I run it at home all seems good (no noise) just wanted to check before heading onto the road?

    Cheers..

You should prime it otherwise you risk to loose it, happend to me, no symptoms just that after a while the warning came on and the fluid was foaming out of the tank... undo partially the outlet banjo, unplug the inertia switch and ask somebody to crank it untill you see the fluid coming out there...after it's all back you must see the fluid circulating well in the tank with engine running then you are OK
