It will tell you if there are any faults recorded by the ECU or by SLABS, unless of course the seller has cleared them all just prior to selling. LOL.

Apart from faults or fault clearing i suppose just the engine stats as its running which may or may not be any help i guess.

You can check the cylinder balance. Check the state off the MAF and MAP sensers. Plus a general check of the fuel injection system inc such things as the fuel pressure. You can check engine temp and compare to the dash gauge () you can check the throttle pedal tracks. You can put in dash mode and go for a drive and check a multitude of parameters including boost pressure. You can check the auto XYZ switch and the sercurity system. You can check the dash lights works by bringing them on. You can test the ABS system and check the wheel speed sensors are accurate.

I think it's an excellent tool if you know how to use it.
