New d2 owner what's this and is it factory?

Just brought a 2001 d2, when inspecting underneath to look for mods that may have already been done I saw this, doesn't look factory? Has a cab,e on the back that looks like it stops the diff from dropping to much. Anyone seen it before?
    Thanks

Its a factory fitment, its a damper meant to help with driveline vibrations which most people remove.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
