Rear passenger doors only opening half way?

Gday, for some reason, the rear passenger doors are only opening half way lately. Is this some sort of kid friendly thing to stop them crunching the doors into things? Did a search and found nothing on this.

Both doors, and only enough room for a small adult to squeeze through?

Maybe take a measurement of distance from the rear edge of the door to the matching aperture position on the body and post it here for someone to compare with theirs.

From what I observe your doors are opening to the intermediate position, try a bit of force and they should open all the way. + a bit of lube.

IIRC dirt can get between the 2 layers preventing them from pressing together from the half-open point. I might be thinking of the stays on some other vehicle but I do recall that the rear stays needed frequent cleaning and lubricating.
