2003 Discovery 2 TD5 Oil Sender Wires Missing
Hi
I have a 2003 D2 Update TD5 that for some reason the wires to the oil pressure warning sender and its plug are missing ( the sender is there how ever) can any one help me where the should run around the engine bay so I can possible find where they have been cut out or hidden or so I can replace them as my oil warning light obviously doesn't;t work with out them and I would like to remedy this
Thanks in Advance

I have a 2000 TD5. The oil pressure wire runs from the rear LH side of the engine and crosses over to the RH side behind the block. The insulation on the wire become brittle due to heat from engine and specifically the turbo.
How do I know this? Happened to me.
If you hunt around you will find the wire.
I replaced the wire, placed it in protective cover then for good measure wrapped the whole lot in aluminum foil.
While at it I did the same with the oil cooler return hose. Its the short rubber coolant hose in the same general area.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers

Disappearing loom
You will find the remnants of the pressure switch cabling in the loom element next to the fuel pressure regulator. AFAIR, the colour is brown/yellow, but a check on RAVE 2 will yield the exact colour. The plug is a standard 'injector' type plug (Hella, Narva, etc.)
Not brown/yellow, but white/brown. Just a fine piece of cable. Insulate it from heat in some way and cable tie it away from the exhaust manifold - that is what cooks it!
