What brand is it? Is there a model number?
In the box with the papers with it it connects between the "MAP" sensor and must fool the computer ,,
anyhow set it on 1 ,,no change ,, on 9 ,,, quicker off the mark before the Turbo boosts up
on "F" .. it really makes a difference
am going to flash the ecu when i get a chance ,,
But if some one wants to give it a try and there close ,,,
come have a Play ..

I have a similer one installed on mine .mine has 8 dip switches and plugged into the map sensor
I tried all 8 settings made no power difference
I have tested with a multimeter and values to the sensor do change when flicking the dip switches
I learned on how to use this correctly when I installed a boost controller to my turbo. to much boost and the ecu will fuel cut
there is a combination if one was to wind up boost levels ..the chip /box needs to be set so the ecu wont see any over boost
I have the older version from this one

This one has 14 settings ,
From 1 to 5 ,, not mush ,, but when you get 9 and up there is a marked difference in the Low down performance ,, must fuel up earlier thinking there is boost there ,,,
when i get a nanocom i will flash my ECU ,, at the moment this is sitting on the jack under the bonnet

the one you have must be a newer and better version .I might upgrade and remove my old one

So you connect dodah into a fairly complicated engine control systemsystem, that fools the computer to behave outside it's parameters , with no failsafe apart from your, let's crank this up and see what happens, Then wonder why you have engine problems.
The mind boggles!
