I am 188 cm or so and I don't really have a problem with the mirror but mine is the manual so may be smaller, and of course that is probably a partial solution to your problem, if you can live without the auto dipping.
Another solution is to perhaps lean the seat back a bit.
IMHO the benefits of the high driving position giving great view far outweigh any minor disadvantage like having to lean over to see traffic lights.
I can recall my swmbo reaction after sitting in a D4 of "don't like it I feel all closed in"

I tried the laying the seat back felt like a teenager ,,,
just one of those things that the maker feels we need ,, a big black piece of plastic in the way of on coming traffic <
I am utterly amazed it passed ADR ?
Anyhow have ripped it off the screen and wow what a view ,,,, ...
It does seem a problem for a few tho ?

True buddy ,, Volvo F15 dont have a mirror in the way ,,, all i see out the back was the head rests and the spare wheel ??
Have taken it off the screen now ,
I have a rear view camera ( to keep it legal )
