Can't buy just the element (it's only listed as an assembly on Microcat), but the two assemblies have different numbers.

Thanks Dave,, yea, the diameters are different sizes,, 93 on the RR to 91 or something,,
The elements are removable so I would have thought had a part number??

Microcat doesnt show the element only the whole assy and for that it's different part number, though you can use the 4.6(which was used in NAS D2s too) in the 4.0 if you change the whole intake cos the 4.6 is larger, some info here: Tornado Systems | Land Rover Range Rover V8 P38 Thor 4.0 4.6 Ltr AFM MAF Bosch air flow meter 0280 218 010 MHK 100 800

    Yes and no Sierrafery,,
you need the RR Thor 4.6 airbox lid and maf, then you need to connect(somehow!) to the 4L intake tubing.
The Thor 4.6 RR inlet tubing is completely wrong for the D2.

There is ( so I'm told by someone that knows about these things) a worthwhile gain to be had by changing all this,,

The reason for the question is at my last attempt to fix my fuel trims (check engine for intake air leaks,, none.) someone decided to change the current element for the one in the old 4L maf in my spares box.

IMO the reading curve of the element might be the same but i should make some measuremets myself to confirm that
