Have just fitted my Allisport intercooler.
On the original there are clips along the top to secure the small (10mm) hose that runs from the radiator to the coolant fill bottle.
I have since added wiring along here which is cable tied to the water pipe.
The new intercooler does not have any way of securing the pipe/wires.
It is contained under the plastic shroud that covers the top of the radiator, so it is not in harms way.
What does concern me though is that over time it might rub through the aluminum of the intercooler.
Anyone who has fitted similar, what have you done?

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Dave I got some stick on cable tie mounts from an electrical store and cable tied the wires to them. I used 5 or 6 and seems to have done the job.

After four years I have still not had any rubbing issues there.
Not a problem Dave. They come in handy for running wiring and things as well.

Good olde "sticky backs"
Hi
A while back I was leaning on the cover over the radiator and heard a snap I had broken the small plastic spigot that the filler bottle plastic tube fits too. I was told this is not unusual for radiators over 3/4yrs old. The plastic tube on my Td5 was also brittle this is also not unusual as they age harden. I changed the radiator & the plastic tube for a rubber hose approx 15mm outside diameter this fits tight under the cover. I also fitted a guard plate over the radiator spigot. I will post photos tomorrow.
Regards Ollie
Also fitted a low water warning sensor.
