    option B

    what part of the ABS system does option affect as I am being told by a land rover specialist that it will affect my road worthy, insurance and may loose brakes altogether any advice would be great thanks phil.

    about the bolded part i'd recommed for that "specialist" option C from "Cut the Crap!" as about what it does affect in the ABS system i think this forum and the web is full of info, in a nutshell it fixes something poorly accomplished

    Hmm... not much of a "specialist" then. Option b bypasses the broken printed circuit board (pcb) contacts / board and allows the abs to operate, rather than replace the unit or open up the abs to repair the broken pcb or have no abs, traction control or hdc. It won't cause you to lose brakes as its on the electrical side. Search aulro for another thread that debates the legality of option b. Most are of the conclusion its a repair, not a mod.

    As all above!

    The term "bypass" is accurate however sometimes gives the impression the system has somehow been circumvented or tricked.
    It hasn't.
    The "option B " is simply utilising replacement wires to "bypass" dodgy printed board faults from the factory.
    Its just like changing a bad plug for a new one.
    Everything remains fully operational only now reliable again.
