    New tyres

Wanting to go a bit more aggressive than my Maxxis Bravo 751. Had General Grabber AT2 and they were good. Looking for something in an AT that has more grunt Offroad. So say Duratrac/Dynapro MT etc... The more Offroad end of the AT spectrum. Must handle and brake well on wet bitumen. The 751 does both of those very well and probably better than the Michelin XPC from factory. Chances are a more aggressive AT will loose a little on both counts compared to the 751.

    Cheers

just check out Khumo's off road tyres , you'll find it there.

I did this thing too, went from Dunlop Grandtrek AT3 to the more "agressive" Cooper Discoverer AT3 and i'm pleased so far, actually it seems to me that the Discoverer managed better on wet road at speed than BFG A/Ts which i had before the Dunlops though these were the best when it was raining just that i needed something better in mud and snow and couldn't afford BFGs at this time
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned

I have recently fitted a set of bfg ko2 a/t they are a new tyre and look suitably aggressive and worked well on a recent trip off road.I have had problems with coopers in the past,3 out of 4 blowing out sidewalls. It was a long time ago and different type of tyre but I wont go near them again. They were expensive to.

I've got some General Grabber AT2s and find them a great tyre except when the going gets properly muddy. Then, like most ATs they just clog up.

I Went with the Kumho MT51s as well.

They seem to be really good so far with about 13k on them.

I've been told they are not noisy compared to other aggressive tyres but compared to the Pirelli ATRs I had on previously the noise is noticable but not annoying.

I recently put Nitto Terragrappler A/T on my 18" rims. So far they've been fantastic on the road and handled a couple of muddy off road trips well.
They were also on a 4 for price of 3 deal so excellent value.

Thanks guys. Hey cannon nice looking rig. What tyres did you come from and did you notice any difference handling on highway etc? I don't like changing lanes and feeling of leaving the tread blocks behind if you know what I mean. Also are they 245/75/16's? And did you have those rims powder coated? Cheers

Rob how do you find handling compared to less aggressive AT.? CHEERS

They are 245/75 r16. They handle really well, I've no complaints at all. The wheels came like that as it's a platinum edition.
