Steve.
Have you got a Nanycom????
As Sierra says if you have a leak it will throw excess duty cycle faults.
I helped a mate out,exact same problem.
He bought 1 elcheapo bag from Ebay, the problem went for a short time so he replaced the other all was good.
You may just be lucking out with the bag self sealing depending on the angle of the dangle, plus the alignment of the stars and moon when you park it.
One thing you will enjoy, they are one of the easiest repair jobs you will find on that D2;);););););)

Hi Andy
Yep got the very original MK1 Nanocom.. so all good - its not throwing any faults - which is weird.. but I think we may be getting lucky - when it goes down it goes quick - but when we generally leave the engine running for 10 secs after stopping its fine.. so assume the crack / hole only leaks when the bags are a bit low... very random though.
I've got the genuine conti's one the way so should be good for another 14 years :)
I'll look forward to the job then :D

And the compressor refurb is very satisfying as well. Couldn't believe how quickly it pumps up now.
Next project is to install an LED on the dash to show when the compressor is running so can monitor any abnormalities and the kit to manually lower the back. It's been sitting on the bench for a couple of years.

Have you plastered the bags with soapy liquid.......A mate had the same issue he found his bag was porous hes replaced them but the previous owner was running it too long with that problem now his compressor is shot
