    The ACE option

    Hi There,
Was the ACE option available from 1999 to 2004 or was it limited to certain years like the CDL option?

    Cheers Marty

All years I believe and standard on HSE models.

It's worth seeking out a vehicle with it as well as SLS :-)

Ace gives my D2 a sporty feel, hugs the corners. I progressed to a Rangie and yesterday I took the old girl D2 for a spin and I really miss the ACE, if hugged the windy roads well and at a higher safe speed than I would drive a standard non ACE vehicle

    No reply, more a question.

Sitting in my yard is the old (99) Disco with ACE and my new one without ACE.

Is it ridiculous of me to consider swapping the ACE onto the one without?

Anyone have an idea the time and problems of such a changeover, I'm really shuddering just thinking about it.

I have had the old girl on fleabay for $2750 but no takers so maybe I use it for parts?

    Cheers

Yeh Ace was available, Personally I think the best thing about ACE is the extra articulation you get off road as it disconnects in low range. (The on road cornering is great as well though)

It's not ridiculous but a quite big job cos beside the mechanical part which might not be a killer the chassis harness is different too and that can give some trouble

From the ones that I have wrecked I am pretty sure the ace harness is standard fitment in Australia as the connectors are there for the g sensor

Yes the accelerometer's wiring is there on all cos it's part of the main harness but the wiring for the valve block solenoids and sensors part of the chassis harness is missing

As I have both vehicles is that part of the harness stand alone or part of something else?
