    Accomodation Hill,SA

    One for SA drivers, on the way to Adelaide tonight i held my foot flat to the floor going up Accommodation hill starting at 100Km/hr it leveled out to just over 110Km/hr. The vehicle is stock except for EGR removed, near new Dunlop 694's, just serviced. How does this compare to other D2 TD5's. What sort of difference would i expect if i got a reprogrammed ECU?

    Can you google map link where that is, can't turn it up on Google.
    Coming back from Lake Bonny yesterday there is a hill coming back in, I think before Truro, I typically end up dropping into third in the auto to avoid bogging and excessive EGT, but even so it was only 100kph I think coming back.

    Thats the one, past the HF radio site at a cross roads on the flat then up a long slow climb, some twisties and your in Truro. 110km/hr zone has an overtaking lane that starts half way up and finishes at the top.

    Ahh OK. I have a few car comparisons for that sucker:
    * suzuki jimny 2009 auto - gripes and probably only does 80
    * 1995 300TDi griped and only did 80, but had a trailer and stuff, ran hot going up after New Year
    * 2004 D2 TD5, old gearbox and tune, it seemed a struggle, new gearbox and tune, was 3rd just to avoid too much throttle in 4th locked, but was controlled part throttle.
    * 1999 D2 V8 - there was a hill?
