Update: About half of turn back on the top adjuster and it's 99% OK, i'm confident it will settle after some greenlaning ...thanks all for the inputs

    So damper is OK?

    Mine is a bit tight too(98 D1).
Much tighter than I remember my old RRC(with similar changeover 4 bolt box that I).

I was going to try the 'remove damper' trick myself too to assess the situation.

I personally prefer a tighter steering feel myself too, but I don't like it's tardy return to centre effect in some situations.

Did you get any extra kickback feeling after your adjustment?

I seem to remember tardy return to centre myself, until I fitted a trutrack. Much better after that.

i dunno if it's ok or not just that it's a new terrafirma damper, and after the adjusment i'm pleased even if it's a placebo, it's better than before but not so good like with the worn one
