Hi,
I have a 2" lift on my 2000 D2 V8, curentley running the stock 235/70 x 16 BFG At,s on stock alloy rims.
I plan on fitting 245/75 X 16,s BFG AT,s with the stock rims....
Do the 245/75,s require ANY mods around the wheel arch areas when the suspension is at FULL articulation ?
Thanks..

Probably the ultimate tyre for a touring D2. Excellent sidewall height and not too fat for beach work. Great in mud. Doesn't tram track on poor bitumen. Easy to get a very wide selection of tyres. Easy to get in LT versus 265/70/16. Cheers
Many thanks to all who replied..
Will order the tyres today....
Been running 245/75/16 in Wranglers (MTR and Duratrak) for the last few years without any issues except for multiple punctures in the Duatrak's
Have changed over to Toyo M/T Open Country recently and quite impressed.
Still a little early to judge what sort of wear but I've heard they are pretty good. Due to the heavy sidewall, they need to be aired down quite a bit to get them to bag out. Never had any issues with tyres contacting in the wheel wells on my Disco TD5 with 2" lift.
I take it the Duratracks were passenger not LT? CHEERS
no...LT's
Had a really good run with the old MTR's (not kevlar) been round oz (through some pretty rugged country) and not a single punture. still had reasonable tread on them when I changed over to the Duratracs in sept 2011. Liked the rugged look of the Duratracs and quietness on road.Thought I would play it safe and take out insurance on the tyres (Beaurepaires) for lifetime puncture repair coverage. On brand new Duratracs travelled from NE Vic to Kalgoorlie and had to replace front left tyre due to small wire through sidewall. Really annoyed at such weak sidewall.. but glad I had insurance as it cost me $39 to have it replaced ($39 for fit/balance) Over the next 18 months I had about 6-7 punctures and found wear to be lousy considering all the hype about their durability. When back in Vic after about 18 months from fitting as new, I took them off, binned them, and put the old set of MTR's (that I had stored in my storage shed) back on and continued using them(without fault) until July 2016 when I changed over to the Toyo's. I went for them as I spend a lot of time in the WA goldfields and I know that a lot of mining/surveyors vehicles use them out there due to their rugged sidewall. Only problem is you need to air them down quite a bit to get them to bag out for driving on sand, etc.
Bugger. Thanks mate. Cheers
