    SLS height spacers

Does anyone know the height of the spacers and just where they fit on the vehicle.

I think they are required when doing a wheel alignment so I want to be sure where I take my DII can do it right, on the other hand I might just go around until I find a wheel aligner that has the tool and use it to set my ride height.

    Cheers

The spacer just slots into where the air bag would go from memory. Then you sit your air bag on top and turn it to lock it in. If you find someone with a nanocom they can set the ride height for you. Its a pretty easy job to do.

The spacers are about 40mm depending on brsand. they bolt to the bottom of where your existing airbag bases are on that axle plate. With 2 bolts. The air bag then fits into the top of the spacer the same as it would if you didn't have the spacer.
the height sensors also require a spacer plate to raise them for the increased height.

Do you mean SLS calibration blocks used for setting correct ride height, or SLS lift blocks for giving a suspension lift at the rear?

    Poor use of terminology

You got it with the first one Kelvo, sorry about the terminology used guys, I meant the calibration blocks.

I shall go and give myself a damn good thrashing now, where is John Cleese when you need him?

    Oops

As far as wheel alignment goes with a D2 only the front toe is adjustable, so the calibration blocks aren't required. Unless to want to quickly reset the rear ride height to factory height.

A wheel aligner won't be the place to calibrate your SLS height. Anyone with a Nanocom or Textbook can do that and I doubt any wheel aligners will have that. You can easily make up your own calibration blocks by finding anything that is the correct size (61.5mm for the on road and 100mm for off road) or shaving down some timber to the right height.

    How why what

Thanks for the measurements, but where are they (the blocks) placed for wheel alignment, I take it the off road setting is purely for checking the ride height to see it is set up correctly.

    Cheers

    Mike
