Dunlop Air Srping leaking at connector

Can anyone tell me if the connector is replaceable? It's leaking pretty bad. It goes down within a few hours. I've had it out, trimmed the tube and reinstalled. It was good when I put it back in but took it for a drive and leaking again.

I'm going to try a new piece of tube into the fitting tomorrow.

It's leaking around the shinny part to the plastic. Not the shinny ring to the push in part that releases the tube.

The shinny bit doesn't have any type of hex or slots to indicate it's removable.

    Unhappy Days.

Next time go Contitech, the Dunlop ones are cheaper but not as good quality, I have been informed by my suppliers they have more probs with Dunlops so hence we don't sell them.
As for the plug, that is one of the " if you play around with it then the warranty is void, in other words it's leave it lone, they have a warning that if unscrewed they may be prone to leaking. Hence they usually put a paint dot on the connector to see if tampering has been done and will not warrant them.
    Cheers, Mario

Yeah mate. Got a Continent sitting in my spares box from you. There is nothing else wrong with the old Dunlap though. I don't want to change it out just for the connector. It has to be repairable. I just have to work out how it's fitted.

If I do change it out though, I'll be needing another contitech for my spares box.

    Happy Days.

Just looking at the pic in the Dunlop install instructions it looks like they use a domed collar with nothing to allow a spanner onto to remove them.

Yep. That's is in the picture on the bottom right of the first page.

I thought the bit that's brass in the picture was shinny but apparently not.

Mine is leaking between the brass and the plastic. If I knew what that were. I might have a chance of working out how to remove them and replace it.

    Happy Days.

Don't see why not. The fitting is just like a John Guest fitting. O-ring should be set into a groove, air line pushes through o-ring centre, barbed push back collar has teeth that grip the tube to hold it in place ... a tiny o-ring pick with a 90deg end might work ... Figuring the right o-ring size might take a bit of working out ... If you do it make sure you tell us the O-ring size !

Thanks mate. I'll have a crack at the o ring on Wednesday. Missus is off then so I'll have a second car to go and get o rings while it's out.
