Truspeed speedo correction installation - new link to guide

I know that a lot of people use my guide for installing speedo correction units to Disco2's.

My apologies as my sadly neglected website forum (its actually intended as a FAQ medium, not a discussion forum like AULRO) bit the dust last year and the information has been unavailable.

Never the less, here is the new link to the speedo correction unit installation page for Disco2s.

Not that I'm aware of, having searched high and low for a while.

The more common option available now is the Hunter Di C6100 unit, link to thread.

You order it via an email address to Hunter Di directly. (hunterdispares@yahoo.com.au)
Last time I contacted them, they quoted $176 delivered(Syd to Melbourne).

Note too tho: I never went ahead with the order, only gathering info for brother's D2. He's of the mind that is like the iced coffee ad .. when you're place is all over the head kind'a thing. He hasn't yet ordered the unit!

Hi Onebob, my pleasure, its an article that gets hit a lot.

The Samras Truspeed was built in Iceland but was taken up by Superlift and called the Superlift Truspeed. I'm not sure if they are still manufactured, but they are still available from store stock from what I can see via internet retailers. Faultless units and the 2 setting function allowed my to be engineer approved for 2 different tyre sizes.

thanks Slunnie and AK83 for the links - however the prices they're asking have me questioning my need....... will compare prices to a HUD unit and make a decision.

If its just for you then a GPS based unit is probably fine but they wont accept that for Engineering approval (NSW) because it doesn't work in all conditions.
