Just read they don't have clips but need tape
I might try to do that with my existing one atm
They also don't come with the rubber windscreen side weather strip which is not a separate avail part?

Did see that, my rubber is ok but just on driver side the rubber now sits off windscreen
So far no water in foot well

It might be more to reduce wind noise not water ingress

Is there any ill effect to this?

TBH, I'm not sure. I believe it plays a part in the hvac system. No clue as to what that is or impacts of not having ventilation there but nothing a dremel and some masking tape can't fix.

For me: ac still works and no temp gauge blow outs for engine bay so what ever it was, I'm impartial to losing it.

This is very annoying. I have tried for a while to find an alternative with no luck. Mine has shrunk and no longer fits the whole width of the front windscreen.

I sikaflexed the side trim when it had a gap and made wind noise. Works really well.

In fact there is a service bulletin out long ago showing an area where the gutter turns where sikaflex should be placed to reduce wind noise.

Nothing like a D2 held together with sikaflex and a prayer
