    EFS front coils

So changed my front coils and shocks today for new EFS.
All done but then couldn't get the coils to seat on the lower bracket

    Removed and installed original springs

    Any tips!

Coils are EFS LAN-108E (DS and NS)

Any short, sharp speed bumps in your area you know the ones that your head hits the roof when you forget about them.

Hmm, they look too small in diameter however it could be as below.

The D2 has a "nesting" lower mount which takes a square end of the spring, so front D2 springs are different to RRC springs which are flat on the bottom ie the last coil is tapered.

When I found this by looking to put RRC rear greens in my D2 , I called Long Range Automotive who said not to worry the flat ones are OK.

However just to be sure I cut a short length of spring off to give an end that would nest into the lower socket.

Yeah spring is smaller in diameter at the lower end???? Even if I could get them to seat they wouldn't stay put the first time I when off road!!
Also did a bit more research and looks like the supplier stuffed up and supplied 50mm raised rather then standard like I asked!!!!
    Taking them back on Monday

From that photo it seems the text on the spring is upside down. Does that mean perhaps the spring is upside down? Just a thought.

Yeah thought that as well but after removing the original spring and comparing them side by side they would then be installed upside down as the "nesting" spring seat would be at the top and the flat would not seat correctly at the bottom, so not right!

Took them back and got a full refund from the supplier even with all the marks on them from installation!
I'd say not the first time they'd had them returned either, didn't even have to get my serious face on!
