    TD5 Oil Leak

Just noticed this oil leak yesterday. It's dropping onto the front diff which is new. I reseller the rocker gasket couple of weeks ago as it was leaking at the back. I've noticed that in need to do it again as I didn't get the rear properly. The pics are taken from underneath, in front of the diff, drivers side. The alternator is visable as a landmark.

Haven't noticed any drop in oil level, & the engine is running fine, no funny noises. Power steering pump is on the other side of the engine.

It looks like it may be the oil feed pipe to the Vacuum pump is not tight or the drain from the pump.

The most likely point of leaking is the front cutout for the camshaft which has a large plastic plug in it with an Oring.
When I bought my car the plug rattled around and it covered the alternator with oil , causing the brushes to fail.

So pull off the cover and have a look at the front of the engine.

Plastic plug can be done easy as!
Just need a new o ring or new plug (I just purchased the whole thing plug and o ring) no need to remove fan etc.

Don't think that'd be the source of the leak! Way to much oil???

Hopefully it's an easy fix. Will c what degreasing does.
