"ABS pump low level" - 4 amigos, *the fix*
Hey fellas (and fella-ets).
I encountered an issue with my D2 the other week and i could not find any threads online as to the fix (maybe i wasn't looking hard enough?).
the problem:
-Traction control not working
-cruise control not working
-4 amigos (brake warning light, hill decent light, abs light and traction control light illuminated)
Plugged the nanocom in and it returned a code "ABS pump low level (pump not turning on when asked to)". So what this means is that the ABS motor is being asked by the computer to turn on, but it is not doing so. If you encounter this issue, think about how the ABS pump is actuated:
Computer > pump relay > fuse > ABS motor
I borrowed another relay from the engine side of the fuse box and swapped the relays out. To my delight the ABS motor started to sing the songs of its people.. (brrrrrrrrrrrrrrddddrrrr).
. so the old relay was the problem. If you encounter this issue, i would look at the fuse and relay first.
So if this thread helps at least one person thats good.
