Thread: Removing Discovery 2 TD5 passenger left side engine mount

Just a quick note to potentially help anyone in the future removing the passenger side/left side engine mount on the TD5 in a Discovery 2 - I spent a while yesterday unable to fit it out but once I realised this it was quick and simple to remove the old one and fit in the new one. Once you've lifted the engine up (engine crane or jack under the sump to do so and have the other sides engine mount loose), from the top side of the engine bay, reach down, grab ahold of the mount, pull it upwards so that the top thread goes into the tab on the engine, turn the mount 90*, take it bottom first out towards the turbo dump pipe, you should then be able to lift it straight up. Fitting the new mount is just the reverse (don't forget to transfer the head shield).
