    Penrite HPR5-40.
I do mine every 10-12k kms. Depends on your climate and use, more frequently for extreme temps, lots of short use etc. all this should be in the owners handbook. Check the oil pump bolt once, torque it up with loctite and then forget about it

Penrite is good stuff. I buy the 20l container. My limited grasp on arithmetic tells me it works out cheaper...

This is a worry. Mine has done 300,000 ish, and I don't know if it has ever been done. It never has in my time. Would it have gone wrong by now? When ( if ) I ever get it back should that be the first thing I do?

    Thanks for that...

Now I'm scared to drive it home from Braeside. My whole saga started with a popped quick connector on the ATF cooler line.......

Bloody hell, I didn't realise you've been through that.

And only use genuine or Mann-Hummel rotor filters and a good quality full flow filter.

Any decent 0/5/10W-40 preferably that meets/exceeds API CI-4+ or ACEA E7 specs or better (proper HD diesel oil specs)

Oils like Castrol Edge 0W-40 and Mobil 1 0W-40 are good, but IMO the HD diesel oils are better.
