    Remote key access not working

Recently I had several intermittent engine interruptions to my 1999 D2 TD5 manual. This was fixed by replacing the relay to the fuel pump and by replacing the ECU. I now have a problem with the intermittent operation of unlocking the doors with the remote key fob. Usually doesn't work after an overnight sit. any thoughts thanks.

I'll be watching this one. Mine, when it was here, did this. I had to open it with the key first thing, then it would be fine. Mine had a new key and battery. Made no diff. I'll be interested to see what you find out, and also what I can do with mine now I have a Nanocom.

Thanks DiscoMick. I had changed the battery out and checked entry about a dozen times...all worked well until it sat overnight.

Thanks Pedro_The_Swift. Ummm... motivating the change out was that it had been exposed to oil

Another dumb question probably but, just to eliminate the bleeding obvious, is the vehicle battery OK in the cold weather?

After the overnight rest when the fob doesnt work in the morning make the following test, unlock/lock with key without opening the door then unlock with fob ...if the fob works after that the only fix is to replace the BCU cos it's internal timer is mixed up and no tester can fix that, even though the following bulletin is for NAS i've seen it in my country too (433Mhz here) : http://landroverclubvi.weebly.com/up...8601nasf_2.pdf , if the symptom is more irregular it can be a roof receiver missbehaviour, usually due to weak earth

    Once again, SF. Thanks.

Is this connected? Mine had the flashing odo, BCU and ECU not happy. That went away with a "fix". Locks funny after that. (FWIW, that is, I had so many things go wrong it's hard to remember accurately ).
