I do have them. You made the right call getting the heat sink ribbon type. The fans are known to fail then cause over heating issues. Most of these LED headlights will detect when they get too hot and the lights will dim, so if you feel like they are flickering or appear to switch to less intensity there is a good chance they are either overheating or too cheap. ( I tried a cheap set and they were no good)
I've fitted mine with the box unit inside the light assembly and have been able to close the cap as per normal.

Also mine are only fitted to low beam, the reason is because lower frequency light (more yellow) travels further, so it is counter productive putting whiter/bluer lights in the high beam. I run normal halogen H7 high beams. But I do have HID spot lights and an LED light bar.
