Hi, some questions:
1. Are the doors working form the dash switch?
2. when the charger was on were all the doors + bonnet closed and locked with the fob?
Hi team,
This morning at 0030, Gary decided that the neighbourhood should be awake.
Key fob disabled the alarm, but then he didn't want to lock and beeped as if a door was open. Checked all doors, still no love. (Alarm had been fine for a couple of days sitting there).
Only difference to usual is that I left battery charger on overnight - can't see how this would trigger alarm though.
Doors wouldn't lock with the horn bleep as they do when one isn't fully closed, so reasonably confident it isn't a door sensor.
Cycled to key position 2, fuel pump activated and everything was normal on the dash. Not immobilised.
Still wouldn't lock with fob.
Did rf test with nanocom, key signal fine.
Ended up disabling alarm and manually locking cause it started to rain and I wanted to go back to bed.
Have seen some forum posts suggesting this phenomena is related to charger or accessory in 12v cigarette plug - I had nothing connected.
Nanocom was not connected when issue occurred.
Next test theories:
Hard reset of BCU by unplugging battery
Play around with bcu settings in nanocom until it is fixed or gets worse.
anyone else have this / advice to a fix, or more importantly cause?

1. Dash lock works.
2. Doors locked with charger on, but bonnet ajar (to first latch, as if it was just popped) to make room for charger clips, I removed the charger and closed the bonnet properly and it wouldn't lock.
Maybe the alarm went off because some ratbag was fiddling with your truck

It's possible that the BCU went to sleep and you could have woken it up by using the key then the fob, i have the feeling that it will work after you re-enable the alarm but if not lock/unlock with the key but dont open the door then try with the fob

Hi Adam, two thoughts:
Were any windows partly down before / when the alarm went off?
Have you been having any difficulty opening and fully closing the rear (tail-gate) door?

So... like most things computer related, the solution is:
Turn it off and on again.
I believe the technical term is 'power cycle the device.'
