I used this design from the Fullfatrr.com forum for the BMW M62 in the L322.
Dunno how well it would match a D2.

A sharp whack of the fan spanner with the persuader wouldn't do the trick, therefore...
Today I made Art.

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
I had to make a similar one when I first got my D2 as some dumb bastard had loctited mine on.
I have only had to use it that once as now I always put anti seize on and a few hammer blows always gets it off.
Its pretty fiddly to get to the bolts, so I am glad it is now so easy .

Nice work. Looks a little more sophisticated than mine.![]()

My pulley holder is one simple piece of 40x5 flat bar with just two holes, a ground out section, and a slight 's' bend to lay flat holding the pulley bolt heads. It seems to suffice for all the tight couplings that arrive here. My hand ground 36mm fan spanner is thick enough to prevent the pulley holder from falling off while the fan spanner is being given a slight love tap.
I'm not that good at art. I bought mine from some manufactory (CNC laser cut) in the Barossa Valley.

I bought this worked a treat and can use for other jobs. It is alot thinner then most shifters so it got in there no problem at all. I do actually like making my own stuff too but wasn't really looking for another job at the time
