    Replacing Radiator TD5

As the mystery coolant leak is the radiator, I looked on RAVE to find out how. It has remove the intercooler. Really!! I just took the bloody thing out to flush it. Any one changed the radiator without removing the intercooler?

    Thanks.

You will be quicker at it this time , any reason you didn't do them at the same time?, with the intercooler out of the way you can access the self tapper to remove your trans cooler.

The only quick way to a radiator is at MLR at $700 plus. Besides, it has had this leak for a while and I'm not used to this type of work. My arms ache, fore arms, hands even, all those little muscles that do very little, did a lot.
I'm getting a radiator from Mario, when they arrive. I have a list of other stuff to do, like the EGR cooler removal. RAVE has the oil cooler going to the radiator, on the facelift ones it goes to the now defunct EGR cooler, then to the expansion tank, I think. Two more pipes to block up. And the removal of the EGR valve throttle combo.

The Aircon condenser is in front of the trans oil cooler.

Then there's replacing the oils and filters, helicoil the sump. Decide on a colour for the Model X, Fit a set of rock sliders. When I get a set of rock sliders. Top up gear box TC and diffs. Replace the brake fluid and PAS fluid. Decide on a 5 or 7 seater Model X, I think I'll get a red one. I like red.

    Cheers

Bite the bullet, mate. Take your time, if I can do it, anyone can. Yes, remove the intercooler.

It's a mongrel job compared with a P38A which takes less than 15 minutes.

All the more reason to do it yourself.

Ive had rad woes, think i ended up removing and replacing it three times all told, probably should have removed it again to replace the harmonic dampner, but ended up doing the job with it in.... no option but to bite the bullet and get the job done, it aint so bad after the third time!
