To help you with this but not going into it too far.

RapidRs began in Pakenham (Vic) in 2006 as a internet based(Ebay)supplier and slotting service of a well known popular brand rotor`s and Pad`s as well as a fitting service .

Since their inception with growing demand for a quality brake package Todd has sourced his own Manufacturer willing to produce rotors to his own compound specification`s .

So with the increase in demand and work load they had to shift into bigger and more accessible location hence Keysborough (Vic).

Delios is their premium performance brand manufactured for them only which is a separate Business to RapidRs but the same company in a sense .

Now i will suggest if you need any more info on Delios and how to obtain them pm me and i might be able to pass on some direct contact info

I'm pretty sure they do not have kangaroo paw, and thats a good thing for self clearing the vent slots. I do like these rotors also because the slots are not overdone. Mind you, I think for 4WDing you're better off with plain rotors. (I run these same rotors)

Dba t3 with Bendix 4wd pads for the front and t2 for the rear. Not really dusty and got them on sale 20% off about $750 for the lot.

I have the original rotors and genuine pads as far as I know from the PO's service history, so I have no axes to grind here. Just learning what's around and what's worth the money.

I asked simply because I couldn't see any mention of 'Dellios' on the RapidRS site link you posted. Also, it seemed the RapidRS rotors for a DII came to about $333 (less pads) and the DBA set quoted by Noisy was $512 incl. pads. That seemed to suggest to me that they were pretty similar in price and didn't gel with your comment "The kit you are looking at is a budget priced and can be budget quality."

So, what sort of money (just roughly) are we talking for a set of Dellios discs for a DII?

I haven't used Delios before but am currently running RDA dimple and slotted gunbarrel coated rotors on my D2a HSE TD5. Despite the 5" lift, 33" tyre and significant weight of additional accessories it still pulls up well. It outbrakes my mates earlier model D2 SE TD5 which is much closer to stock!

For me it is the brake pad flavour that I notice more in the brake performance than the actual brake rotor. I am currently running Bendix 4WD brake pads and have mixed feelings on these. Their cold performance is terrible but when warmed up work very well. A few times I've been concerned about the lack of bite when needed when cold, because of this I couldn't recommend them and won't use them again myself for the Disco.

On other higher performance vehicles I have used Brembo, DBA and RDA and not noticed a difference from the rotor brand.

IME you'll only notice life and wear issues.

In another lifetime we noticed a big difference between AP Racing and DBA rotors, with the DBA having far less core shift, better concenctricity and better machining!
At the time the two biggest names in motor racing brakes were AP Racing and Brembo. Brembo subsequently bought out AP Racing.

Land Rover brakes can be a bit fussy and it got to the point I had to stop using RDA stuff, customers jumped at the cheaper price but jumped even quicker when there was brake pedal pulsing or squealing brakes.

I use any known brand including Bendix, Repco, Delphi / Lockheed etc etc.
