Ok, you fooled me when you wrote doors. I don't think you are correct, but I don't have both cars here to compare. My D1 does not have a rear wiper, my D2 does, but that's all that I can say for sure without both cars here.

I 2nd this. I read that the only panel the same as the d1 was the rear door skin no other panel is the same

    From wikipedia

"The Series II Discovery debuted in autumn 1998 and in the US in 1999. Land Rover promoted that the Discovery Series II had been modified with 720 'differences'. The interior and exterior was re-worked to be less utilitarian, but it was still similar to the Series I. Every body panel was new except the rear door outer skin"

Still does my head in. Thing is, I can pick a 1 from a 2, coming towards me, from about 250 metres out. It is seriously weird.

My D1 (96-97 model) has rear wiper. Maybe I got the Deluxe model :bigrolf:

    HSE perhaps??

Mine is a 94. It, bizarrely, has a rear washer. Never seen it work, but it's there. Personally, I prefer the non functioning washer to the stupid rear wipe when the main wipers are on and reverse is engaged. I'm hoping that is something my nanocom can deal with.

Ean, I reckon the bonnet protector will interchange. The shape of the headlight cutout seems to be the difference.

D1, D2 - Bonnet and tailgate are the same steel pressing,

But the bonnet latching is different.

So does that mean a plastic stone deflector that fits a D1 bonnet should fit a D2 bonnet. ??
