Mine makes the same noise, always assumed it was the ACE. No faults on the Nanocom, and it seems to drive fine.
BTW, mines a manual...
Trying to narrow down what this sound is. It’s audible around the 7 second mark and happens in Park, reverse or drive. It reoccurs about every 10 seconds or so. Not sure if it occurs while driving as it’s too noisy to hear. I think it’s coming from the ACE valve block, although I did previously get the fault code “20-04 Pressure Control Valve fault”. Additionally I’ve noticed the car going into limp mode when full acceleration and a load (camper or up steep hills), so I’ve wondered if it could be the auto trans internal pressure valve. Auto was serviced within 20k but going to do again. Have noticed a couple of leaks appear around the ACE ram hose connections which is newish.
Help please!!
going to visit a nice forumite to rescan with a nanocom next week

Sure it’s not the sls releasing air out.
i couldn't hear it in vid due to the noise of the engine, but if its a farting noise, then probably the air being expelled on the self leveling suspension.I used to get whoopee cushion sounds on shutdown and parked for a few seconds. I got some looks from pedestrians in carparks when it did it.
bursts of noise from suspension compressor | LandyZone - Land Rover Forum
It’s not the SLS. I know that sound. It’s similar in nature except the SLS sound is on the compressor side of the car & happens after I get out. This only happens when the car is running, doors open or closed. I’m pretty sure it’s coming from ACE valve block/drivers side trans region.
The sound is about 1 second or less in duration

ACE is hydraulic .. so really shouldn't make a 'pfft' sound(should it?)
I've run my D2(V8) for about an hour and played with SLS heights and checked some stuff on the ACE via the nanocom.
Only time I've heard any air release sounds is via the SLS system .. resetting heights and raising lowering manually etc.
Where did you have the sound recording device when you captured it? Can you insulate the engine noise a bit more?
Arthur.
All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

I had it at the bottom of the drivers door next to the ACE valve. I’ll see if I can get a better recording

Yes…we’ll sort of. I sold the car in 2019, but from what I remember it’s the valve in the high pressure ace pipe. The metal pipe that goes from the pump to the valve block. You can buy a replacement pipe, but you have to cut the old pipe in 2 to get it out and then replace it with new 2 pipes that screw together to make up the same pipe.
I’ve looked but I can’t find the info that I downloaded which included product numbers.
To test my memory, I’d be interested to know if you took this info, my recording and your sound to a good Indy if they’d agree or not.
I sold the car before I got around to fixing that bit, but the couple of guys that I spoke to were very confident & had seen this issue before.

Ours v8 has done that for years , no issues still drives. Its like release pressure .. we just kept on driving.
